Sir Christopher Wren was born 20 October 1632.

Why is Sir Christopher Wren famous?

Sir Christopher Wren was the architect who designed St Paul’s Cathedral in London. He is also responsible for rebuilding 51 other churches in the City of London after the Great Fire in 1666.

St Paul's Cathedral seen today was built between 1675 and 1711 by Sir Christopher Wren. The foundation stone was laid in 1675 when Wren was 43 years old, and the last stone was put in place by his son 35 years later.
