Winston Churchill, the 'greatest Briton of all time,' died on this day in 1965

Winston Churchill was a politician and wartime prime minister who led Britain to victory in World War Two. He was born on 30 November 1874 at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
Churchill became the British Prime Minister in May 1940, after Neville Chamberlain resigned as prime minister
Churchill's refusal to surrender to Nazi Germany inspired the Britain. He worked tirelessly throughout the war to hold together when all hope was gone. He kept his promise to persevere and overcome the Nazi threat and defeat Adolf Hitler and restore freedom to the world once again. For these reasons he was and still is often referred to as the British Bulldog.
